The Geography started as general level Subject in 1991 and The Department of Geography started in 1994 as Special Subject at UG level. In 1996 1st batch of 15 students of Geography was pass out. The result of that year was 100%. Since started of Geography special we sequired 1st rank among TYBA till date. The number of students constantly has been increased. The Department of Geography has also started F.Y.B.Sc (General) Geography in 2013 with 05 students. Our Department has completed 31 years in June 2022 with glorious academic history. Department teaches students Topography interpretation, weather interpretation, tour report, village survey, land survey, weather instruments, etc. We exposed our student to higher education through that they achieve higher posts in education, government, private sectors

Objective:

1. To introduce the students to the basic concepts in Geography.
2. To enable to students to use various projections and cartographic techniques.
3. To acquaint the students with the principal of surveying, it‟s important and utility in the geographical study.
4. To develop in them an understanding of basic concepts, principles and theories relating to geographical phenomena.
5. To develop the skills of reading Maps and Globes, to develop drawing and measuring skills, and to develop the skill of using and manipulating geographical instruments.
6. To develop scientific attitude and to develop the ability to draw valid conclusions and independent thinking. In fact, Geography today is a combination of Art and Science. Its scope and study is broad and comprehensive. Geography has well established itself as a science.
7. To understand the principles, applications, trends, and pertinent issues of Geographical Information Systems and sciences, including Remote Sensing (RS), Photogrammetry, cartography, and Global Positioning Systems (GPS). Programs:
