NCC
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) is a voluntary organization in India that recruits cadets from all high schools, colleges and universities across the country with a vision to convert and groom the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The NCC provides basic military training in small arms and parades.
It is a tri-services organization created in India, consisting of the Army, Navy and Air Force.It was started in India in 1948. The Headquarters of the National Cadet Corps is located in New Delhi.
Aim
The aim of the NCC is to provide creative, responsible, strong, devoted leaders, unity and discipline through fun and challenging military-related activities.
Objective
- To convert youth into disciplined and patriotic citizens.
- The objective of NCC is to inculcate the ideals of discipline, character development, brotherhood, spirit of adventure and selfless service amongst the young citizens.
- To inculcate leadership qualities in the youth so that they can be successful in their life no matter what career they choose.
- To motivate the youth to choose a career in the army or other armed forces.
- To sharpen life skills and serve the nation in all dimensions.
Descriptive information in brief of the cell
The College is attached to NCC Group Headquarters, Pune through Brihan Maharashtra College of Commerce (BMCC) & His Highness Chintamanrao Patwardhan College (HHCP) and Naval NCC attached to College of Engineering Pune (COEP).
The College encourages and helps students to participate in the process of such activities. Army & Naval enrollment is voluntary.
Disregarding the hurdle, our students have managed to make their mark. Cdt. Srushti Uttam Gade, for example, participated in RD Pared representing her NCC Directorate, at the Annual NCC Republic Day Camp, held at New Delhi, from 1st January 2020 to 29th January 2020.
